MY STORY
How I found Ole Girl
I moved here going on 13/14 years ago from South Carolina with my husband, 4 dogs and two cats. The move to Llano, Texas was a hard one, but family ALWAYS comes first. I was born in Daytona Beach, Florida and have only ever lived on the East Coast, so the thought of moving to Texas, to the “sleepy little town of Llano,” terrified me.
After about two years I met two people who'd later become like family. Cheryl and Diana convinced me to sell tickets for a play they were working on with my husband — it'll be fun, they said. Boy were they right. I performed in the LanTex for years, fell in love with our “Ole Girl” as I like to call her, and knew I wanted to become the manager of this historic theater.
When Tony Guidroz informed me that the manager's position was available and being posted, I KNEW I had to have it. To say I am obsessed with Ole Girl is an understatement. I am proud, honored, and humbled to get to take her into the future. I have big plans for our historic theater, and with her turning 100 next year I hope to do Llano and the surrounding areas proud.
